Put down the celery juice and read this<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"7brkp-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"7brkp-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"7brkp-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"3n1o3-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"3n1o3-0-0\"><strong>The myth<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"7vkq0-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"7vkq0-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"7vkq0-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"938uv-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"938uv-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"938uv-0-0\">You might have heard claims that celery juice &#8216;detoxifies&#8217; or is a &#8216;cure all&#8217; for anything from cancer and diabetes, to digestive issues and bloating.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"5tbt5-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"5tbt5-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"5tbt5-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"a3gqc-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"a3gqc-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"a3gqc-0-0\">Sure, celery contains decent levels of vitamins K, but it&#8217;s largely just water. So the crazy health claims are not only false, but could be dangerous when taken to the extreme.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"7irlb-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"7irlb-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"7irlb-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"d0gkk-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"d0gkk-0-0\"><strong>The reality<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"2m9gu-0-0\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"2m9gu-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"2m9gu-0-0\">\u00a0It tastes pretty gross on its own, am I right?<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"2m9gu-0-0\">Concentrated celery juice could actually trigger bloating in people with IBS (it&#8217;s high in FODMAPs) &#8211; the total opposite of the claims!<\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"2m9gu-0-0\">Juicing removes the all-important fibre &#8211; and this fibre is SO key for your gut health and in turn linked to lower risk of 70+ chronic conditions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"2m9gu-0-0\">The whole &#8216;negative calorie food&#8217; thing is also a myth&#8230; why would we want negative calorie foods anyway? We need the calories and nutrients that whole foods give us to survive and thrive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"4e1pn-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"4e1pn-0-0\"><strong>If you&#8217;re struggling and really want to beat the bloat (although remember a bit of bloating is totally normal), try this<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"4j3fq-0-0\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"4j3fq-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4j3fq-0-0\">\u00a0Opting for whole foods instead of juices or smoothies<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"4j3fq-0-0\">Splitting your food intake into smaller portions throughout the day<\/li>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"4j3fq-0-0\">Chew your food well, between 10-20 times. Digestion starts in the mouth!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"8dec1-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"8dec1-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"8dec1-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"bu5ms-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"bu5ms-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"bu5ms-0-0\">\u00a0<strong>Please don&#8217;t listen to anyone who claims to get their nutritional &#8220;expertise&#8221; from spirits&#8230;!<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"34da6-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"34da6-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"34da6-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"a8f3m\" data-offset-key=\"fguo-0-0\">\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"fguo-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"fguo-0-0\">If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
