More isn&#8217;t always better!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"bnvbk-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"bnvbk-0-0\">Many protein supplements have been shown to decrease health-promoting bacteria after just 10 weeks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"4vkqd-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"4vkqd-0-0\">High dose vitamin C can cause gut upset in some people.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"a3boh-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"a3boh-0-0\">\u00a0Vitamin A over-supplementation has been linked to hair loss for some and chronic consumption could even cause liver damage.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"45kg9-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"45kg9-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"fgb1m-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"fgb1m-0-0\"><strong>Want my advice?<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"fgb1m-0-0\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"fgb1m-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"fgb1m-0-0\">Try to get your nutrients from real whole foods, as Mother Nature has packaged up all these nutrients into our food in safer doses! And if you do need to supplement for whatever reason go with those backed by science.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"5ricn-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"5ricn-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"b2ejc-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"b2ejc-0-0\"><strong>What about fibre or prebiotic supplements?<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div data-offset-key=\"b2ejc-0-0\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"b2ejc-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"b2ejc-0-0\"> While I might suggest supplements in some specific cases, taking advantage of naturally occurring prebiotics and fibre in real whole foods is the best way to feed your GM.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"aids6-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"aids6-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"e0l71-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"e0l71-0-0\">Keep in mind there are over 100 different types of fibre from all your plant-based foods full of colour. And you just can\u2019t get all of that amazingness into a little man-made tablet.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"dq0df-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"dq0df-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"epov8\" data-offset-key=\"8pnav-0-0\">\n<p class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"8pnav-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"8pnav-0-0\"><strong>Two supplements it could be worth thinking about?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"public-DraftStyleDefault-block public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\" data-offset-key=\"8pnav-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"8pnav-0-0\"> Vitamin D, especially in the winter months or if you\u2019re spending more time indoors and Omega 3 if you don\u2019t eat oily fish at least once per week.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And over-supplementing can come with unwanted side effects.
