I then bought the second book, which has been a fantastic tool on my IBS journey. <strong>Although I am not a vegetarian, I have steadily increased my plant intake, and over time, implementing the new tools I have learned, all of my symptoms of IBS have disappeared.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I really enjoy the 30 plant points per week exercise, and the first time I did it, I was surprised at how many different plants I was actually eating. I love the challenge and have found that I am trying lots of different plants, some of which I love and some of which, well, you can&#8217;t have it all! <strong>Following The Gut Health Doctor has really encouraged me to diversify what&#8217;s in my shopping trolley and always go for the mixed option (mixed nuts, mixed lentils, etc.).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If this story helps other people, that is all I can ask for.<\/strong> When there are so many chemicals, etc., in foods, it is so important to eat whole foods. My sister swears by a well-known butter spread, and I found that there were 12 ingredients in it, and 8 of those were chemicals! I only use local organic butter with two ingredients.
