As the saying goes \u2018you can\u2019t outrun an unhealthy diet\u2019. I did not calorie count or follow a low-fat diet; instead, I started making healthier choices, like including more fruits, vegetables and other yummy plant foods.<strong> For the first time ever, I did not feel like I was on a \u2018diet\u2019.<\/strong> It was a lifestyle change that I have maintained and loved.<\/p>\n<p>As I steadily started to manage my weight, I decided to fully embark on a plant-based diet and aimed to eat 30+ plant points per week. This along with eating in a pattern that suited my lifestyle, running and weight training meant I eventually reached my happy weight! <strong>Not only this, but I have been able to maintain my weight for nearly two years, and I have never felt better!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Now, I enjoy eating an array of colourful, plant-based food, and I always hit my 30+ plant points a week.<\/strong> I am turning 50 this year and I am the healthiest and fittest I have ever been, I have buckets of energy and I no longer have high blood pressure. <strong>I feel great!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was unhappy with my weight, my blood pressure was high and I felt every one of my 47 years.
